During their time at the National Kiwi Hatchery, the kiwi chicks eat a special blend of food designed for them by the experts at Massey University. We prepare the food and weigh out the correct amount of food for each chick each day. 

Feed a kiwi chick for a year

Feed a kiwi chick for a year and help them reach the weight and size they need to be released back into the native environment.  The team at the National Kiwi Hatchery have collaborated with researchers to create the perfect meal for a kiwi chick to help them grow up strong and healthy.

Hatch and name a Kiwi chick

Each Kiwi chick that is born at the National Kiwi Hatchery is special and they are all named by their sponsors. Become a Kiwi chick sponsor and help us save Kiwi. We'll add you to our Kiwi wall of fame - and you get to name the chick!
